First Day of School
The beginning of this school year is bittersweet for me. All my children are officially in school. It is the beginning of a new phase of life and the ending of an old one. I didn't think I would be so sentimental about it because after this stressful summer I couldn't wait for some "ME" time. But today, as I was walking to the car after dropping Maggie off for her first day of PreK the tears freely flowed. I cried all the way home. Don't get me wrong...I am excited to now have 3 hours everyday for myself but I can't help feel sad that maybe I should have enjoyed my time with them more.
The kids had the usual excitement/nerves but the had a great first day and it seems like this will be a good year for Ellie, Carter and even Maggie.
