Emily had her hair cut and styled this week. The length of her hair over the shoulders was trimmed and her bangs cut. Emily looks very stylish and cute with her new hairdo and it makes her look so grownup! We really love Emily!
“Family is the center of life. It is the key to happiness." Elder L. Tom Perry “One of the hardest challenges in this life is to have faith in the Lord's timing . . . Let us defend the home as a place which is second only to the temple in holiness . . . If it is the Lord's plan, it should be our plan.” Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson

More Pictures from Andrew in Brazil
Andrew does not want you think he is a tree-hugger but he does like the out-of-doors and nature. This is one of the many beautiful sunsets in Brazil.
Here ia a panoramic view of a Brazilian sunset.
This was a large lizard and Andrew wanted to catch it but thought better of it. Good decision! There are many poisonous reptiles in Brazil.
Andrew appears to be contemplating life's big secrets (or what or we doing for lunch . . . just kidding)!
This is called banana pizza and it is good. It is a dessert similar to fruit pizza and I had it for breakfast on Sunday.

Introducing...Baby Lightheart
Here is our first photo of Baby Lightheart. He measured a little small so they actually pushed my due date back by 10 days. Which is actually a blessing because it will give me more time to get settled in El Paso before he is born. I have never had an ultrasound this early so it was amazing to see how wiggly the baby was even at this early stage. (Kurtis just shook his head and said, "Here we go again." :)
We are so excited to bring this baby into our family. Thank you for all your support.

NEW DUE DATE: Sept. 9th

Valentine's Day at the Shaw's
Mom likes Dove chocolates.
Rory sent Mom an edible arrangement to her school. She was the envy of all the other teachers and office help at school!
These chocolate strawberries were very tasty!
Emily received a small stuffed animal along with her Valentine's Day loot.
Mom's door was decorated today.
Emily also had her door decorated this morning. We spend our Valentine's Day a little more laid back than most people. Mom and I will probably celebrate by eating a Papa Murphy's Valentine Pizza. We may even splurge with breadsticks! We wish all of you the best this Valentine's Day and wish you were here!
Sitting with Tim and Janet's Children 12 Feb 2011
Kaylee was happy, she loved playing and being held by Grandma!
Everyone, including Brianna, loves making and launching paper airplanes.
Taylor pciked out some fun paper to make his paper airplanes. We had a book with about 25 different designs. We have made three different styles so far.
Even Alyssa likes to play with paper airplanes. We also played downstairs and watched a Disney movie. Everyone had a good time while Tim and Janet were on a Valentine's date. Emily and Mom were great help!

Latest Pictures from Andrew 7 Feb 2011

We had the Baptism of Edinelson and that was good for him.

We also have been having a bunch of rain and man oh man one night did we get it. So we got back and we walked to this one house to teach and we got wet on the way to this house and we taught and it really rained for a second but it stopped. But walking home we got soaked. I had puddles in my shoes and the phone got so wet that it wasn´t working anymore but I sure did pray that it would work in the morning and it did so that was a miracle. But this is a picture of that after we got really wet, you can´t tell too much but you can see how my face is shiny and how you can see through my shirt and see a picture of Jesus in my shirt pocket and my pants were just so wet, but it was fun.

These two pictures our from our nature hike that wore us out last p-day.

This picture is of a road and I really like that area; it´s my favorite part of town.

I don´t know how, but I got burned and I asked this one guy that was a fireman and said it´s second degree burn and that is my hand when it was blistered really bad but not now; it´s fine and it´s just red. The weird thing is that I have no idea how I got burned so bad.
