Cabin Survives Fire, but the Generator and Outhouse are burned to the ground

 We needed to make a few cuts to get into the cabin.

 Most everything north and above the cabin are completely burned and barren.

 There is no grass, shrubbery, or any signs of plant life where the fire has been.

Here Mom and Grandma drive Rory's pickup into the cabin.

 Rory was a big help.

 The cabin survived the fire, just barely.

 This is where the outhouse (latrine) once stood.

 This is where the generator house was. Only the mangled metal remains.

 The little birdies are grateful the cabin did not burn as they again used grandma's nest to lay their eggs

This picture shows how the fire got so close to the cabin that it melted the vinyl rain gutter and changed its shape.

Please look at the tree next to Rory, it is burnt on one side but the fire stopped and did not go any farther and spared the cabin.

 Grandma is happy that the cabin survived the fire.

 This is the gate on top. Everything here was burned to a crisp, nothing left but a few blackened tree poles.

 Ditto.

 There are a few burning logs still smoldering.

 It was a pretty day with a few ominous clouds bringing rain. We left as the rain began to fall lightly.
