This picture shows the flowers in our courtyard. It became a little too much like a jungle later in the year.
Our two hanging baskets are very showing with the different flowers, although all you can really see here are the super-tunia plants. Regular watering with Miracle-Gro makes all the difference. Our flower pots also did very well and added much color to the landscape. I keep the baskets and the pots until the frost takes them later in the fall.
The Osteopermum (purple daisy-like flower) is a great flower to plant as it always looks good and keeps on blooming.
This picture shows our home with the new winter/spring flowers planted.
Notice the pansies in front of the hedge. They will grow and fill in over the winter and spring months. There are also daffodil bulbs planted in between the pansies and the hedge (winter gem boxwood)
These are the pansies planted in the courtyard. There are also tulip bulbs planted in between the pansies to give the flower garden height and more dimension and to add more visual interest. I put down landscaping fabric to hopefully stop the cats from using the flowerbed as their private bathroom!
