Gingerbread Houses

We finally were able to schedule an evening to make our Gingerbread Houses. We usually try to make them just after the Thanksgiving holiday. It has been a very busy year with Andrew coming home with his hand injury and surgery. We are just glad we were able to make them. It is always a fun part of celebrating the Christmas season.
Thanks be to mom for her baking the gingerbread and making the frosting to attach the candy on the houses.
Emily had a great time decorating her own house.
Andrew enjoyed eating perhaps more candy than he decorated and placed upon his house.
Mom did a great job adding her final touch to the houses with icicles.
This house has so much candy and frosting that you cannot see any gingerbread. We might have just made it out of cardboard.

Here we have placed the houses above the kitchen cabinets.
Emily can hardly wait until Christmas Day so she can eat her gingerbread house.
